UK: Annual PPI – Output rises 2% in January

In the year to January 2012 UK PPI – Output n.s.a. grew 2%, in comparison with a increase of 2.2% the previous month, National Statistics reported today. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts.

On a monthly basis UK PPI – Output n.s.a. grew 0.2% in January, following a 0.1% drop in December, as expected.
Annual UK PPI – Input n.s.a. rose 1.8% in January, compared with December's 0.3% increase, slightly above consensus. Between December and January UK PPI – Input rose 1.3%, after falling 0.2% between November and December and above projections of +0.9%.

Year-over-year PPI Core Output rose 1.4%, following 1.5% growth. On a monthly basis PPI Core Output increased 0.2%, after remaining flat the previous month.

UK: DCLG House Price Index rises more than expected in December

Year-over-year the UK DCLG House Price Index grew 3.3% in December, following the 2.1% rise the previous month, according to data released on Tuesday by National Statistics. Market consensus pointed to +2.1%.
