Forex: USD/CHF finds support at 0.9455, 1-week low

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - After falling around 50 pips in the American morning, the US dollar has finally found support against the Swiss Franc at 0.9455, lowest level since March 25th. Currently the pair is trading at 0.9465.

With 0.40% daily losses, the USD/CHF is trading slightly bearish according to the FXstreet.com forex studies. Indicators such as MACD, CCI and Momentum are bearish while the Stochastic is bullish in the 1-hour chart.

Below the 0.9455, next supports come at 0.9435 and 0.9380. On the upside, resistances are at 0.9480 and 0.9500.

Commodities Brief – Gold trades at 1600, silver falls below 28.00

Gold prices were virtually unchanged Monday, during heavily muted trading following the Easter holiday weekend. The yellow metal is presently trading sideways, having touched the 1600 mark in recent minutes. In these moments, gold spot prices are trading at $1599.44 per oz., evidently unable to break out of this consolidation in the absence of any pricing catalysts.

Forex Flash: 10-year US treasury profile – RBS

The market continues to see a 1.72% to 2.15% range in 10-year US Treasuries, perhaps persisting through Q2. According to the RBS Research Team, “Key resistance remains 2.15% in 10-years while near-term support is 1.83% - our bias remains to modestly lower yields in the near-term because positioning is favorable (short) and medium-term charts are turning bullish for the first time since early December.”
